We just wanted to thank you and everyone at Quantum Energy Technologies for the
advice (including the initial detailed analysis and proposal) and the service provided
for our conversion to new Quantum Titan 340 heat pump hot water systems. The
units are successfully doing their job servicing our busy caravan and camping amenities
including showers, laundry and kitchen for holiday makers.
Installation
The new heat pumps were easily installed (using our existing manifold configuration)
by our own local trade people with minimum disruption and no down time. The
split system design enabled us to locate the Quantum Titan units indoors in a plant
room with only the condenser fans being located outside. In considering heat
pumps noise was generally a considered factor but has turned out to be unnoticeable.
The units produce plenty of hot water very quickly and efficiently for our guest
requirements.
Savings
The estimated saving of energy and payback period provided in your initial proposal
looks like being easily met. We were also pleased to be able to keep the units
on the same controlled low tariff as our old system. Looking at the last three
months since installation we have saved 50% to 60% of the kilowatt hours normally
used. However this is with two regular electric systems (ie 2 x 400L) in another
amenity building still connected to the same meter so we anticipate further savings
when these systems are changed for Quantum Titans. This saving is also with
an extra 27% increase in hot water storage capacity than before.
We are now looking at Quantum heat pump options for our housekeeping
building, holiday cabins and swimming pool.
