EECA $1,000 Rebate Scheme!
EECA successfully completed a trial grants scheme for heat pump water heaters.
Originally planned as a six month programme, the EECA scheme ran for eight months
and ended on 30 November.
During that period, the $1,000 government rebate was accepted by many New Zealanders
who wanted to do their bit for the environment and at the same time, lower their
household running costs.
There are no confirmed details from EECA about another government rebate scheme
but it is expected that some form of scheme is highly likely in the future.
